Young Arts | Holiday Club - Fashion, Photography, Art (August 2023)
Arts University Plymouth’s Young Arts programme was established in 1988. Young Arts feature the university's renowned Saturday Arts Clubs and for over 30 years has worked to bridge the gap in arts provision for young people created by increasingly limited access to creative activity in schools.
This is a two day holiday club specialising in your favourite creative area: photography, art or fashion.
In this two day holiday club, you can choose your specialist area from fashion, photography or art, working with tutors in a variety of subject related practical sessions over the two days.
You will have at least two finished pieces to take home at the end which will bring your skills together.
No previous experience or skill level is required, the emphasis will be on trying a new technique and helping you to create successful outcomes. All materials are provided on each day.
The age range for this course is 9-15yrs, so some activities will have different levels of difficulty to engage all levels of experience. You will be buddied up with others a similar age for any group work and breaks, for example there may be a primary and secondary school aged table for fashion working to the same brief but at different levels.
If you choose photography you should expect some group work, and you will be grouped by age and experience. If you are attending with a friend or sibling who is a different age, please let us know so we can keep you together.
To register, click the BOOK NOW link at the top of the page. Places are extremely limited for each creative subject area. We do not offer single day places for this course.
