<p>From 9am on Friday 10 December, young filmmakers across the country have 72 hours to plan, shoot and edit short festive themed films, for the very first, Plymouth College of Art 72 Hour Film Challenge in partnership with <a href="https://britishcinematographer.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">British Cinematographer</a>.</p> <p>As part of the competition, all films submitted will be premiered at a screening on <strong>Monday 13 December from 4-6pm</strong> at Plymouth Arts Cinema, the city’s only independent arthouse cinema.</p> <p>Plymouth College of Art would like to invite the filmmakers, their teachers, friends and family, and the film going public to join us as we screen the films and judge the prize winners.<br /><br />The films will be judged by a team of professional filmmakers, curators, and lecturers from the <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/ba-hons-film-screen-arts">BA (Hons) Film &amp; Screen Arts</a>, and <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/ba-hons-sound-arts">BA (Hons) Sound Arts</a> degree programs.<br /></p> <p>The winning entries and filmmakers will be presented with:</p><ul><li>Free tickets to a screening of their choice at Plymouth Arts Cinema</li><li>A production consultation with one of the filmmakers who teach on the <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/ba-hons-film-screen-arts">BA (Hons) Film &amp; Screen Arts</a> degree at Plymouth College of Art,</li><li>A voucher towards submitting your film for other film festivals,</li><li>A brand new GoPro 10 kit for their school or college.</li></ul><p><strong>PLEASE NOTE:</strong></p> <p>Capacity is limited to 120 in the Plymouth Arts Cinema, and allocation will be on a first come, first served basis, so do please book early to avoid disappointment.</p> <p>We will be live streaming the event, <a>which you can view here</a>, and we will also have BBC coverage, so please be aware you may be on camera when entering the cinema.<br /></p>
