<p dir="ltr">Our local NHS is offering the opportunity for staff and students access to a <strong>one day free walk-in COVID-19 vaccination session on Tuesday 30 November in </strong><a href="https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Plymouth+College+of+Art,+Plymouth+College+of+Art,+Tavistock+Place,+Plymouth/The+Warehouse,+Trafalgar+St,+Plymouth+PL4+9AE/@50.3731417,-4.1368692,18z/data=!4m14!4m13!1m5!1m1!1s0x486cecb4aec20bb5:0xaa30025c1187db52!2m2!1d-4.1372815!2d50.3732769!1m5!1m1!1s0x486cecb4765fd81f:0x4a64125fe657514a!2m2!1d-4.1339785!2d50.3731696!3e2"><strong>the Warehouse</strong></a> (45 Regent Street, Plymouth, PL4 8BB), only minutes away from the rear exit of our Tavistock Place campus.</p> <p dir="ltr">Running from <strong>12pm until 5pm</strong>, there will be <strong>no need to book</strong>, simply arrive for either your <strong>first, second or booster jabs</strong> of the <strong>Pfizer</strong> COVID-19 vaccine. Please note, that your second jab must match your first, but your booster dose may be different from the vaccines you had for your first and second doses. You can only be given Pfizer at the drop-in sessions (no other types of vaccine will be available).</p> <p dir="ltr">Your second dose must be at least 8 weeks after your first, and <strong>you can only use the drop-in service provided that you are aged 16 or over</strong>. Please see below for a list of anyone who is eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster (if 26 weeks have passed since your second dose).</p> <p dir="ltr">The best way that we can protect ourselves, our friends, families and community from COVID-19, help to prevent hospitalisation and save lives, is to get vaccinated if we can, free of charge. An <a href="https://www.england.nhs.uk/coronavirus/wp-content/uploads/sites/52/2021/06/C1317-COVID-19-vaccination-FAQs-students-in-Higher-Education-Institutions-.pdf">NHS student vaccination FAQ</a> is available to answer any questions you may have.<br /><br />All students and staff members should still be using home lateral flow COVID-19 tests twice weekly. You can pick up free boxes of test kits in our Tavistock Place and Palace Court campuses. Please note that newer lateral flow tests require a nasal swab only (no need to swab your tonsils!) so please check the instructions on your kit before taking a test</p>
