As part of our commitment to raising awareness about Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), we're inviting everyone to be a part of the Trevi 'Reclaim the Night' march starting at 6pm from Arts University Plymouth. We are hosting both screen printing and hand making placard-making workshops. This is a creative opportunity to support a safer city for women. Together, let's make our voices heard and stand against violence. Sign up now via Eventbrite and show your solidarity alongside our charity partner Trevi.

Reclaim the Night has been prominent in cities across the UK for nearly five decades. Its initial message in the 1970s, was the rage and anger that women felt about being given a curfew in response to severe violence against women and girls. The curfew was as a response to the mass murders of women committed by Peter Sutcliffe, while men were able to live their lives freely. These reactions are still prevalent today, as women show their fury at not only having to take extra measures to ensure their own safety within their daily lives but also being expected to take precautions against the added threat of spiking on nights out.

We will be marching through the town centre, making as much noise as possible! To make sure we are heard, bring your banners and instruments along!
