Strategic Leadership & Management

The Vice-Chancellor & Chief Executive is advised by the Vice-Chancellor's Executive (VCE), which is the senior advisory and executive decision-making group for Arts University Plymouth.

<p dir="ltr">The Vice-Chancellor's Executive's key purpose is to advise the Vice-Chancellor &amp; Chief Executive on the management and strategic direction of Arts University Plymouth, focusing particularly on the management of the University’s financial and physical resources, academic provision and staffing, monitoring of strategic and corporate compliance risks, and on the markets in which the University operates.</p> <p dir="ltr">The Vice-Chancellor’s Executive is in turn advised by the Academic Board, which deals with the strategic direction of the University's academic activities, and the Vice Chancellor's Management group (VCM), which oversees the operational, day-to-day management of the university. This group includes participation by Heads of Service for invited business.</p> <p dir="ltr">There are three sub-committees of the Vice-Chancellor's Management Group: Health and Safety, Equality, Diversity and Inclusion, and Safeguarding. </p> <p dir="ltr">Further time-limited or permanent groups, such as the Employee Engagement Group, are established as required to support strategic and operational objectives.<br /></p>
