<p>An event to celebrate the publishing of <em>The Dance Of Moon and Sun - Ithell Colquhoun, British Women and Surrealism</em>, edited by <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/people/judith-noble" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>Judith Noble</strong></a>, Victoria Ferentinou and Tilly Craig, and published by Fulgur Press.</p> <p>The event will be held in the Library at Arts University Plymouth at 4.30pm on Thursday 20 April 2023, which is <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/posts/lost-painting-by-british-surrealist-ithell-colquhoun-goes-on-loan-to-whitechapel-gallery" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"><strong>also home to Ithell Colquhoun's painting Water Flower</strong></a>.</p> <p>Ithell Colquhoun was a British painter, occultist, poet and author who was born in India, but brought up in the United Kingdom. She studied at the Slade School of Art, and spent the latter part of her life in Cornwall, where she died in 1988.</p> <p>The book is based on a symposium held at Arts University Plymouth in March 2018, and contains a range of contributions from academics, scholars, artists, and friends of Ithell Colquhoun. It will be introduced by Judith Noble and Tilly Craig and Robert Shehu-Ansell (Fulgur Press).</p> <p><strong>Tickets to the event are free, and the book will be available to buy at the event.</strong></p>
