Our People
Nick Crawley
Nick has over ten years of experience with extensive business development, recruitment, HR and search & selection knowledge. Nick is experienced in sales training, recruitment, procurement and project management.
Nick has worked at other universities in employability and career advice, as well as recruitment and business networking. He’s also worked as a mentor, mainly for disadvantaged young people.
In his role at Plymouth College of Art, Nick engages with local, national and international businesses to find opportunities for students, adding to their employability. He also works with our academics, finding interesting live briefs to contribute to students’ portfolios, and facilitating the projects between students and employers, with a focus on paid opportunities, because we believe students shouldn’t be working for free. He also helps students with entrepreneurship, self employment, setting up a company and freelancing.
An ex-Army man, Nick’s hobbies are cycling, skiiing and running. He has run the Plymouth Half Marathon for the last seven years and has cycled from London to Paris multiple times.
