Lucy Leake, Programme Leader for BA (Hons) Film, said: “Encounters is the annual meeting place for filmmakers and industry professionals, so for one of our alumni to have a film screened there is a big achievement indeed.

“We always make sure our students have as much professional exposure and industry links as possible – through live briefs and real projects – so it’s great to see this pay off.

“Many congratulations to Robbie and his excellent, and very much deserved, achievement.”

Based in Bristol, Encounters Film Festival runs a six day festival in September, with venues including the Watershed and Arnolfini.

It’s billed as the leading UK gateway to the world’s most prestigious short film and animation awards.

Robbie was one of nine student films selected nationally – so many congratulations to him!
