Art Students Inspired by Staff Exhibition
Plymouth College of Art Photography staff is proud to present an exhibition of current and on-going photographic works at Trerise Gallery, Plymouth. A diverse range of styles including portrait, landscape, documentary, environmental, equestrian, architectural and underwater photography is on display.
The exhibition is open between 12 noon and 6 pm daily until Friday 4th October 2013 at Trerise Gallery, 135 Hoe Road, Plymouth.
Thirteen members of Photography staff who work as Further and Higher Education lecturers or technicians have produced the work on display, and all works are for sale.
The College is pleased to be showing work in a space run by former student, Paula Carnell.
The exhibition is an opportunity to showcase what staff members create outside of their teaching and commercial freelance work; it is teachers putting their own theories and ideas into practice. Students who visited the show over the weekend commented that it was inspirational to see work made by staff.
Tobie Loates, Exhibition Organiser, commented that:
“Trerise Gallery is a new, up and coming ocean-view gallery. It’s a great space.”
“The show looks great. We’ve already received a good response from members of the public and students.”
“Every person exhibiting here teaches photography because they love it. We are each passionate about teaching photography, and also about the practice of photography. We think the work in this show reflects this passion.”
