Break into sound - enter our competition now!

Take part in our first ever BA (Hons) Sound Arts Competition, and win a brand new Playtronica Touch Activated Midi Controller for your school or college!

Do you love ASMR, mixing sounds or music? Are you compelled by what you hear, more than by what you see? Can you imagine yourself recording, mixing and experimenting with sound?

We are excited to offer you the chance to take part in our first ever BA (Hons) Sound Arts Competition, and win a brand new Playtronica Touch Activated Midi Controller for your school or college!

The Sound Arts Competition 2021 is an invitation for anyone aged 15+ to produce a soundtrack for a video using completely interesting and unusual sounds. Whether you attend school, sixth-form or college, it is free to take part in this challenge, and the winner will receive:


We are seeking a soundscape that allows listeners to experience sound as a sonic landscape: a rhythmic, undulating, unfolding, immersion in sound.
Sound Arts Course Team

Your soundtrack can be made using sound recordings by Plymouth College of Art provided below, your own recordings, or a mixture of the two. You can work as a team or individually, your sound track can be anywhere from 1 minute to 8 minutes, be an mp3 file and must be submitted before Wednesday 12 January 2022 at 5pm (GMT) to soundarts@pca.ac.uk.
