BA (Hons) Photography graduate Daniel, who grew up in Totnes, Devon, is a documentary photographer whose work captures meditated states and moments of silence in the landscape, while also focusing his practice on the lives of people that live connected to the land. Through immersion and experiences, he photographs the intertwining relationship of humanity and nature.

Working on a number of long term projects, ‘Natural Progress’ is his grounding body of work, which explores individuals across the UK who have decided to live outside of bricks and mortar and in dwellings with a smaller ecological and financial footprint.

Daniel spoke to Creative Boom about his greatest fears as a creative graduate, what he’s learned by living off-grid and about his hopes for the future. He was interviewed for Creative Boom’s ‘Advice from 2022's top graduates for new creative students starting this September’ and we also spoke to Daniel in February 2022 about his work documenting alternative ways of living.
