Design Days Dubai 2016 — Open Call Opportunity
Friday, 14 August, 2015 — Crafts Council UK has announced an open call looking for makers to take to the international design fair Design Days Dubai in March 2016. <p><strong><a href="https://www.craftscouncil.org.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Crafts Council UK</a> has announced that they will once again be taking a group of makers to Design Days Dubai in March 2016.</strong></p>

<p>Founded in 2013, the <a href="https://www.dubaidesignweek.ae/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Design Days Dubai</a> fair is renowned as one of the biggest international design fairs, playing host to stunning installations, exclusive presentations and world design premiers.<br /></p>
<p>This is an opportunity for makers to realise their ambitions to work with international clients including collectors, galleries and retailers by showcasing their work at a world-class design show.</p>
<p>The fourth edition of the fair – that took place earlier this year – attracted visitor numbers of 13,500 people and featured 150 designers and more than 780 items from 44 exhibitors across 20 countries.</p>
<p>They also host a public programme of free hands-on workshops and talks with leading design experts discussing design processes, theory and trends.<br /></p>
<p>This is an opportunity for makers to explore this new market supported by the Crafts Council and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).</p>
