Film students eager to enter industry after talk from Film4 Head of Digital Hilary Perkins
Our BA (Hons) Film students were inspired last week by a visiting lecture from Hilary Perkins, Head of Digital at Film4.
“It was an awesome talk, it’s made me want to get into the industry as soon as possible!”, said David Luff, a second year BA (Hons) Film student.
Having previously worked for the BBC and Channel 4, Hilary spoke to our students about progressing ideas, making the most of digital media and the use of multiple platforms.
“It was great hearing Hilary talk about the industry and I gained so much advice from meeting her. I love Film4 and the people they work with like Ben Wheatley, who directed A Field in England, which is amazing!
“The way it was released demonstrated the start of an amazing multiplatform interactive marketing campaign – the work they do at Film4 is innovative and inspiring and hearing Hilary talk about it was even more so,” explained Freya Beavis, a second year film student.
