Glitch films & paper sculptures: Extended BA's tactile and immersive show
Thursday, 31 May, 2018 — Take a look through the photos from our Extended BA (Hons) End of Year Exhibition, where students impressed all with their diverse, exploratory work ranging from video installations to abstract paintings and jesmonite sculptures.
<h5>Our <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/courses/undergraduate/level-0-extended-degrees" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Extended BA</a> End of Year exhibition saw a packed out private view on Friday night with students enjoying the chance to network with industry and celebrate with their friends and family.</h5>
<p>From abstract paintings and video installations to jesmonite sculptures and intricate paper puzzles, the diverse work from this year’s cohort emphasised the programme’s unique approach to art practice.</p>
<p>The art show rule of ‘don’t touch’ was thrown out as visitors were invited to engage with the various tactile and immersive elements of the show. Check out work from the exhibition above...<br /></p>
Our Extended BA (Hons) Degree gives students the freedom to take risks, generate ideas, experiment, and develop a breadth of approaches to problem-solving. The exploratory year sees students experimenting with materials, processes, methodologies and practices.
