<p dir="ltr">Amy said, “I came to love exploring the world of artisan designers, and during my final year, I found my passion in styling, which led me to create products to complement my projects. This then motivated me to start my own business, producing my own merchandise.</p> <p dir="ltr">“My concrete home decor comes in a variety of designs and pastel shades. I mainly specialise in creating marbled patterns using coloured concrete, which allows me to make items that are unique every time.<br /></p>

<p dir="ltr">“I start by using white and grey cement mixed with colourant to give them their pastel tones. Each piece is hand poured, allowing me to create the marble design in the silicone moulds, tapping the moulds once poured to remove any air bubbles. After demoulding, I sand the edges smooth and finish with a clear sealant and a cork base for the trays. The whole process has only increased my love for making decorative crafts.</p> <p dir="ltr">“It’s all still very new to me so I’m constantly learning, whether improving my techniques or my branding. I have been experimenting with new products such as soap dishes and wall plaques, as well as a new spring collection which will expand on my current range of colours.”<br /></p>

<p dir="ltr">Amy, who graduated in 2020, did photography and fashion A-levels, developing her eye for aesthetic and composition, while nurturing her love for design. This led her to apply for BA (Hons) Interior Design &amp; Styling at Plymouth College of Art.</p> <p dir="ltr">“I found out about the BA (Hons) Interior Design &amp; Styling course through attending an Open Day. I liked the fact that there were only art related courses at the college, which I felt offered me more opportunities to learn from different disciplines within the creative industry. That freedom allowed me to explore the variety of work I wanted to produce and helped me discover new areas of design that I now really love.”<br /></p>
