Set to take place at Dartington Estate, Devon, on 28 June - 1 July 2018, Jamboree 2018 has been created in response to the struggle that LOW PROFILE experienced as artists in having enough time to meet, network with and work with other artists, curators and programmers.

LOW PROFILE have invited artists, curators and programmers to become involved in co-delivering a programme of presentations, micro-exhibitions, activities and discussions to share practice. Through the programme of events at Jamboree 2018, LOW PROFILE hope that attendees will meet new people, find out about each others work, build new relationships and make connections that lead to new projects. Developed in partnership with Plymouth College of Art and a-n The Artists Information Company, Jamboree 2018 is part funded and supported using public funds by Arts Council England.

Working in partnership with nine organisations including Plymouth College of Art, PAC Home (Plymouth Arts Centre's associate programme), Visual Arts South West, and Spike Island, Jamboree 2018 also offered bursary places to artists.

High Hopes Make Good Stories copy

Eight of the artists bursaries available were provided by Plymouth College of Art and were available for alumni, postgraduate students, and current members of staff to apply for. We are proud to announce that the Plymouth College of Art bursaries were awarded to:

Elena Brake
Norman Buchan
Ilker Cinarel
Andy Cluer
Ryan Curtis
Steven Paige
Antigoni Pasidi
Marcy Saude

For a full list of bursaries and the names of the artists who have been selected, head to the Jamboree 2018 website.

With all bursaries announced, the next round of pre-registration is now open. Ticket numbers for the event have been limited to 150 to make sure that attendees will have a good chance of getting to know each other, and a pre-registration process has been set up so that anyone interested in going can apply for tickets. The process also means that all attendees are artists or curators who are professionally engaged in visual arts practice, and that there is a mix of participants from across the UK, with a range of different practices and approaches, and at a variety of different stages in their professional career.
