Photography Students Celebrate Success of Print Auction
Friday, 29 November, 2013 — Photography students raise over £3000 at their exclusive photographic print auction
<p><strong>Photography students raised a phenomenal £3093 at their exclusive photographic print auction, held in the stylish setting of the Treasury Bar in Plymouth</strong><br /><br />The collection of lots included many signed, limited edition prints and books donated by award winning photographers including David Ward, Phil Nicholls, Andy Willsher, John Curno, Charlie Waite, Simon Roberts, Gideon Mendel, Robin Maddock, Nicholas White and many more, as well as work from a variety of emerging practitioners, all of which were sold on the night.<br /></p>
<p>Tim Bolton, Vice Principal Academic attended the event “I thoroughly enjoyed myself and am very pleased with my purchases! It was a great event really professional, from the catalogue and invites to the comparing of the evening. My congratulations and thanks to all of you for such a successful event."</p>
<p>The 3rd year students from BA (Hons) Photography gave thanks to those who supported the event “We would like to thank Ben and Clint at The Treasury for letting us host our auction at such a fantastic venue! Also to all the generous photographers who donated prints and books, we are very grateful to have received such beautiful work from you and cannot thank you enough for your support. Thanks to Paul Clark from Clarks Auction rooms for kindly lending us his services as auctioneer for the evening. Thank you to all the businesses who donated raffle prizes, they stirred up a lot of excitement on the night. And thanks to everyone who came along on the night!”<br /></p>
<p>The funds raised from the auction will go towards their Free Range Show in London next June, to which they are now one step closer.</p>
