Plymouth College of Art Students’ Union shortlisted for Think Student Awards 2021
Plymouth College of Art’s Students’ Union (PCA:SU) has been shortlisted for Best Campaign Supporting Student Wellbeing in the Think Student Awards 2021.
Listing institutions that have gone above and beyond this year to support students in one of the toughest academic years on record, the Think Student Awards in 2021 is recognising institutions that have harnessed their platforms, understanding their potential and supporting students in the process.
Judged by a student audience, the Think Student Awards are decided by 40,000 students on the Student Pulse Opinion Panel. The winners will be announced at a virtual and in person event, held in London on 11 November 2021.

PCA:SU received the shortlisting off the back of the SU team focussing on student wellbeing, mental health and welfare, providing an inclusive and welcoming environment for students. The dedication that PCA:SU shows for supporting students really shines through as president Harriet Moore ran the SU Food Bank from her student flat during the lockdown, hand-packing and coordinating the delivery of parcels of food, sanitary products and toiletries to students self-isolating or experiencing financial hardship.
With the PCA:SU bar at the heart of Plymouth College of Art campus, it provides a safe space for students as well as a hub to contribute towards causes they care about. Championing student-led initiatives is key to showing prospective and current students there’s a space where they can make a real difference.

With this year’s theme of the awards ‘Brand, loyalty and purpose: Making an impact in an overcrowded market’, Harriet Moore and SU Manager Paige Nolan have played an integral part of attracting and caring for prospective and current students with their hands-on and supportive attitude and agenda.
Keep up to date with what PCA:SU is up to via their Twitter, Instagram or Facebook, or alternatively check out the Students’ Union website.
Best of luck to Harriet and Paige for the awards on 11 November!
