Pre-Degree student Finley McDonald is anything but Earth Bound

Finlay McDonald is making waves with his incredible standard of photography
<p dir="ltr">Aspiring wildlife photographer <a href="" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Finley McDonald</a> joined the <a href="">UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Art &amp; Design (Photography)</a> at Arts University Plymouth in September 2023 and is already making waves with the incredible standard of his photography.<br /></p>

<p dir="ltr">16-year-old Finley’s latest project, 'Earth Bound', was part of a simple brief to create a zine that combines strong visual imagery with journalistic written content. The team teaching photography within our Pre-Degree &amp; Sixth Form centre agree that Finley’s collection of wildlife photography is some of the strongest and most visually striking work created by a first-year Pre-Degree student at Arts University Plymouth.<br /></p>

<p dir="ltr">"Finley’s photography is some of the best composed and technically executed photography I have ever seen from a first year student in the first term of the course. The final magazine is also beautifully designed and produced to such a high standard," said <a href="">Tobie Loates</a>, Subject Leader for Photography.</p> <p dir="ltr">'Earth Bound' showcases the beauty and depth of local nature and was all photographed in the South West, at sites including National Trust Saltram, Plymbridge Woods and Cann Woods.<br /></p>
