<p>The prize, now in its fifth year, selected Shelley's photographs from her series '<a href="http://www.eideticimagery.co.uk/#!dead-girl-walking/c3l0" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Dead Girl Walking</a>' to go on display at The Old Truman Brewery up in London earlier this month.</p> <p>The project explores the industrial archaeological heritage of her homeland Tamar Valley. The photographs depict desolate, hauntingly beautiful landscapes, they are a stark reminder of the historical backdrop of the area as an industrial site and her fascination with the landscape as a means of articulating the fragility of human existence.</p> <p>Her personal connection to the land and its effects is documented throughout this extensive series, which combines landscapes with portraits of cancer survivors and people who live in the area.</p>
