Students get involved with award-winning film
Thursday, 13 August, 2015 — Students from our film and costume programmes worked with BAFTA-winning director Robert Young on his latest film ‘Curse of The Phoenix’ last year – the film has now just gone on to win an international award at the Houston World Fest.
<p>Students from our BA (Hons) Film and BA (Hons) Costume Production and Associated Crafts programmes worked with BAFTA-winning director Robert Young on his latest film ‘<a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3282370/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Curse of The Phoenix</a>’ last year.</p>
<p>The film has gone on to win the Platinum award in the Sci-fi/Horror category at the <a href="http://worldfest.org/worldfest-history/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Houston World Fest</a> – the third competitive international film festival in North America – celebrating outstanding creative excellence in film & video.</p>
<p>Our BA (Hons) Film students and grads were credited in the film, Joanna Ely as Associate Producer, Brent Zillwood as Edit Assistant, Patrick Sheehan as Sound Assistant and Sergei Kozin for Visual Effects.</p>
<p>From our BA (Hons) Costume Production and Associated Crafts programme students Charley Stanbury and Jerry Moore were asked to oversee and make selected costumes for the film.</p>
