Summer opening times 2025
Tuesday, 8 July, 2025 — Find out everything you need to know about university access, graduate shows, studio bookings and support services this summer.
<p>As we move into summer 2025, here is a full breakdown of opening hours, service access and key dates across campus. Please take note of these adjusted hours, ensuring you have access to the facilities you need during this period.</p>
<p dir="ltr">From <strong>Friday 27 June</strong>, Arts University Plymouth will open <strong>Monday to Friday, 07:45 to 18:00</strong>.</p>
<p dir="ltr">The University will be <strong>closed on weekends</strong> until the new academic year begins.<br /></p>
<p>The Pre-Degree campus will <strong>close from end of day Friday 4 July</strong>, and will reopen in September.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Our campus remains open to the public for the MA Graduate Show:</p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Monday 21 – Thursday 31 July</strong>: 10am–6pm (MIRROR Gallery & Studio 11)<br /><br /></p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Private View</strong>: Thursday 24 July, 6pm–8pm<br /><br /></p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Open Day</strong>: Saturday 26 July, 10am–1pm</p></li></ul>

<p dir="ltr"><strong>June access</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">From <strong>Monday 23 June</strong>, technical areas will operate on <strong>reduced access</strong> due to annual leave. Availability varies daily. Check SmartHub for live updates.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Appointment-only bookings</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">From <strong>Monday 30 June</strong>, all studios, the ERC and the DPB at Tavistock Place will run on an <strong>appointment-only basis</strong>. Bookings must be submitted via SmartHub and will be reviewed by technical staff before confirmation.</p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Full closure for maintenance</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">Studios and workshops will close for annual maintenance from <strong>Friday 1 August </strong>in preparation for the new semester. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Students with Extenuating Circumstances (ECs) should complete all practical elements of their submission by <strong>Friday 1 August. </strong>Access to computer suites and post production facilities will remain accessible during the summer resubmission period until <strong>Friday 14 August.</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Building works & access updates</strong></p>
<p dir="ltr">To support planned maintenance, the following access changes will be in place at Tavistock Place:</p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>7 to 18 July</strong>: The <strong>main reception lift</strong> will be <strong>out of service</strong> due to refurbishment.<br /> Please use the <strong>Patio entrance lift</strong> to access upper floors.</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">The <strong>4th floor</strong>, including <strong>shower facilities</strong>, will be <strong>fully closed</strong> to staff and students during this period for electrical works.</p></li></ul>
<p dir="ltr"><strong>Tavistock Place (ERC)</strong></p><ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Stocktake</strong>: 11 to 22 August</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Loan return deadline</strong>: By 4pm Friday 8 August </p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr">Contact the team via <strong>erc@aup.ac.uk</strong> to request extensions if you are a PG student or have ECs.</p></li></ul>

<ul><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Undergraduate results published</strong>: Thursday 3 July (via your university email)</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Certificates issued</strong>: Late July (where applicable)</p></li><li dir="ltr"><p dir="ltr"><strong>Resubmission deadline</strong>: Thursday 14 August, 1pm</p></li></ul>
