West End Day Trip is a visual art and social enterprise project based in the West End of Plymouth, UK. The project is currently curated by Gareth Ballyn and supported by Plymouth College of Art and Plymouth City Centre Company.

A private view of the shop, at 109 Cornwall Street, will take place on Wednesday 27th February from 5pm to 7pm. The project celebrates the West End area of Plymouth through a series of artist led workshops that ran in Autumn 2012.

The young adults who are in the For Arts Sake group based at 109 Cornwall Street worked with artists and crafts people to both explore the West End and learn new art skills and techniques. During the workshops they generated images which now feature on an exciting range of merchandise that will be available to buy in the shop at 109.

Gareth Ballyn project curator said:

'West End Day Trip is a unique project in the city. Young adults have had the chance to work closely with local artists to produce work that explores and celebrates the brilliant West End!

Not only have these young adults learnt new art skills they have developed transferrable skills that will prove invaluable as they progress into education or training. The merchandise is of a professional standard and we are sure will be very popular.'
