Team building art workshop at Plymouth College of Art for Barnardos
BA (Hons) Painting, Drawing and Printmaking student Annie Millar delivered a workshop on mark-making as a team building exercise with staff from Barnardos, the UK’s largest children’s charity.
The workshop took place in our Studio 44 Make Space on Regent Street, where Annie used materials such as charcoal, pastels and inks to take the group through the history of mark-making.
Participants worked collaboratively to develop pieces of expressive art, the result of experimenting with colour, line and the influence of music.
One participant from Barnardos, Li, said, “Annie was very good as a workshop facilitator, she encouraged free-flow expression and relaxed people into being creative without thought or attachment to any specific outcome. She offered good insight, guidance all-round and encouragement to everyone.”
The opportunity to provide employees with creative training or team building exercises is open to all types of businesses, charities and community groups at the college. There are also opportunities to collaborate with students by providing live briefs through our in-house Agency, or by offering placements and internships via our Careers and Enterprise team.
From a one day experience to a bespoke Short Course, we can provide a tailor-made programme to fit all requirements with the use of our industry-standard facilities and workshops.
