Second year Foundation Degree Photography students will be showcasing a collection of their work during an exhibition at the Trerise Gallery.

Second year Foundation Degree Photography students from Plymouth College of Art will be showcasing a collection of their work during an exhibition entitled ‘The best so far’ at the Trerise Gallery, located on the Barbican in Plymouth.

The exhibition, which will run from the 18th - 28th March, is an eclectic mix of work showcasing emerging talent from the student group including a number of international award winners. There is no ‘house style’ evident in the collection so visitors will see a full range of photographic genres selected from the first two modules undertaken by the students during their second year.

A Private View of the exhibition will be held on Wednesday 20th March, 7pm – 9pm, where the students will be on hand to discuss their work.

Following on from the completion of the Foundation Degree, these students will continue with their journey and progress at the end of the year to a top-up award to gain BA (Hons) Photography at Plymouth College of Art.

Student Andy Ford, who recently became runner-up for 'Student Photographer of the Year' in the prestigious Guardian Student Media Awards 2012, commented: “Plymouth College of Art has given us a great opportunity to exhibit our work in a professional gallery. In this exhibition you can see our diverse range of styles and influences.”
