What to do in Plymouth when you come for an Open day

And we thought it would be a great idea to put together a handy guide to our <a href="https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Trips/104808447/Come%20and%20Visit%20Plymouth?m=19905" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">favourite places</a> for you to use when you come and visit us. </p>

The Box Plymouth is just up the road from Plymouth College of Art
<p>The current exhibitions at <a href="https://www.theboxplymouth.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Box,</a> a museum, art gallery and archive for Plymouth - right next door to our campus, where there is always something new to discover. As well as our many <a href="https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/things-to-do/attractions/museums-and-galleries" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">galleries</a> we recommend you check out Europe’s largest immersive 3D dome at <a href="https://realideas.org/our-spaces/market-hall/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Market Hall</a>, for a truly innovative digital experience. Calling all sea-life lovers, the <a href="https://www.national-aquarium.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">National Marine Aquarium</a> is the largest in the UK, and has such a large range of exhibits you can travel from the Plymouth Sound to the Great Barrier Reef under one roof!</p>
Plymouth Hoe is a breathtaking spot for panoramic views around the coast
<p dir="ltr"><a href="https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/explore/areas-to-visit/the-hoe" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Hoe</a>, the perfect spot for a walk with breathtaking panoramic views of the sea. You can also enjoy a refreshing swim at one of Plymouth’s many wild swimming spots, like the <a href="https://goo.gl/maps/jQmTpuZ9JPGaK8Hi8" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Devil’s Point tidal pool</a> in Firestone Bay! Or take a stroll around the picturesque <a href="https://www.visitplymouth.co.uk/things-to-do/the-barbican-p1706033" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Barbican</a>, a cobbled stone waterfront quay packed with restaurants, cafes, specialist shops and galleries. <br /></p>

<p dir="ltr">At <a href="https://www.facebook.com/cosmickitchenplymouth/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Cosmic Kitchen</a>, a fab vegan cafe with a friendly atmosphere and live music in the evenings! <a href="https://bostonteaparty.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Boston Tea Party</a> is great for all your coffee and cake needs. Looking to takeaway? Head to <a href="https://www.rocketsandrascals.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Rockets and Rascals</a>, where you can pick up a delicious lunch AND hire a bike to explore Plymouth and its surrounding bike trails. Looking for something a little more exciting? Then <a href="https://www.facebook.com/tantuniplymouth/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Tantuni</a>, an authentic Turkish food stall, or <a href="https://atkitchen.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">AtKitchen</a>, an asian fusion restaurant, both based at <a href="https://www.plymouthmarket.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Plymouth Market</a>, are perfect if you want to try something new. <br /></p>
Nook Houseplants are fast becoming regulars at the college's Students' Union with pop up shops, tasty discounts and all the plant care advice you could ever need!
<p dir="ltr"><a href="https://www.secondhandbooksplymouth.co.uk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Book Cupboard</a> is not just for bookworms, this Aladdin’s cave houses out of print and rare first edition books, as well as non-fiction instructional books and crime novels, well worth a browse. For our green fingered friends <a href="https://www.nookhouseplants.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nook</a>, a house plant specialist shop, is a must visit and is guaranteed to have something for everybody. Another must-see is The<a href="https://www.facebook.com/thehousethatjackbuilt" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener"> House That Jack Built</a>, a throwback to old curiosity shops combined with a Camden town market, it is full of arts, crafts and unique products you won’t find anywhere else. Within The House That Jack Built you will find <a href="https://www.instagram.com/themusiccaveuk/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">The Music Cave</a>, <a href="https://www.nookhouseplants.com/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Nook</a> and much more!<br /></p>
