<p dir="ltr">Bridge the Tamar, curated by Hannah Rose and Elaine Sinclair, features artists based in Plymouth and Cornwall. Bridge The Tamar brings 12 artists from Devon and Cornwall to respond to the local and global challenges of connectivity between people and societies.

This hour long tour will walk from the Visitor and Learning Centre across the Tamar Bridge to the Saltash end of the bridge. Along the way you’ll discover how the Royal Albert bridge was constructed, construction features of the Tamar Bridge and information about the local history of the area, with stunning views of the River Tamar along the way. <p dir="ltr">Take part in a free two-part writing workshop at The Box this Easter in celebration of their much loved painting, ‘A Fish Sale on a Cornish Beach’ by Stanhope Forbes. Help tell the story of the hardworking fisherwomen in their shawls and traditional ‘towser’ aprons with a fleet of Cornish Luggers in the background. <p dir="ltr">Inspired by The Box’s ‘Making a Mark: Dazzling Drawings from the Cottonian Collection’ exhibition, running until 4 June, join local artist and experienced life-drawing tutor Kathy Wray for some very special drawing sessions. Incorporating music and a discussion about the meanings, contrasts and expressive qualities of mark making and the figure, you’ll have the chance to develop these skills into a longer pose of up to an hour to incorporate technical drawing skills alongside proportion, tone and scale.</p> <p dir="ltr"><a href="https://www.theboxplymouth.com/events/april-2023/making-marks-life-drawing" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">21 - 28 April @ The Box</a><br /></p>
