Ethan Pennell
Student Wellbeing Advisor
<p>Ethan is an experienced acupuncturist and mindfulness tutor, as well a former Arts University Plymouth postgraduate student and jobbing artist. He is currently training to be a counsellor and is doing a placement at the University of Plymouth. He is a member of The Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture UK (ATCM) and the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adheres to their Codes of Professional Conduct, Safe Practice and Ethics.</p>
<p>Ethan has run health and well-being courses for over ten years, his clients including various Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation services, a Homeless Hostel and people with learning difficulties.</p>
<p>He is also a member of the ISEU (Inner Space Exploration Unit), a collaborative art organisation that charts external and internal landscapes as well as the territories that lie somewhere in between. To date, the group has published the ISEU Gazetteer, participated in the ISSS (International Society for the Study of Surrealism) Annual Conference 2021 and held an exhibition at Arts University Plymouth. </p>
<p>In his Student Wellbeing Advisor role, Ethan offers one-to-one appointments, providing general health and wellbeing advice (including dietary and lifestyle information), ear acupuncture, mindfulness meditation practice and other therapeutic approaches.</p>
<p>He also runs regular group meditation sessions (online) as well as stress and anxiety/artists’ wellbeing workshops.</p>
