Deputy Clerk to the Corporation
<p dir="ltr">As the Deputy Clerk for over 15 years, Nadyne Ebbens has played a crucial role in ensuring effective governance and smooth operations for the Board of Governors and its committees at Arts University Plymouth. With her extensive experience and passion for governance, Nadyne is a pivotal member of the Governance Team at Arts University Plymouth. </p>
<p dir="ltr">Nadyne’s background spans 16 years in banking, with various roles working up from cashier to customer manager, including a three year period as personal assistant to the branch manager. This experience ignited her interest in a supportive capacity, eventually leading her to the education sector and specifically, to governance.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Her dedication to governance led her to complete an award in governance for clerks from Warwick University in 2013, supported by Arts University Plymouth. This commitment to continual learning underscores her role in ensuring that the Board operates within its governance policy and supports its members effectively.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Her responsibilities as Deputy Clerk are multifaceted, encompassing administrative and secretarial support, ensuring compliance with statutory and constitutional documents, and maintaining up-to-date records of membership appointments.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Beyond her professional life, Nadyne is deeply invested in personal growth and community service. Her hobbies include yoga and mindfulness, aligning with her values of kindness and service. During the pandemic, she volunteered in vaccination drives, reflecting her desire to contribute positively to her community.<br /></p>
