Arts University Plymouth appoints Chynna Bartlett as Commercial Development & Innovation Manager
Wednesday, 12 August, 2026 — Chynna Bartlett joins Arts University Plymouth in a new role supporting business partnerships, Short Courses and access to specialist creative facilities.
Arts University Plymouth has appointed Chynna Bartlett as Commercial Development & Innovation Manager, a new role focused on developing commercial activity and partnerships across the university’s specialist facilities, technical expertise and creative programmes.
<p>The appointment will support work and partnerships to broaden access to Arts University Plymouth’s creative knowledge, facilities and technical capabilities for businesses, organisations, creative professionals and communities across Plymouth and the wider South West.</p>

<p dir="ltr">A key part of Chynna’s role will be supporting commercial development across the university’s innovation portfolio, including <a href="https://www.aup.ac.uk/research/supported-projects/fab-lab-south-west">Fab Lab South West</a>, Arts University Plymouth’s centre for digital fabrication, prototyping and material innovation.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Her remit also includes the launch of a new programme of Arts University Plymouth Short Courses in September, creating opportunities for individuals and organisations to access creative learning, specialist facilities and technical expertise. <p dir="ltr">Chynna brings more than a decade of experience across technology, not-for-profit and commercial sectors. Her work sits at the intersection of commercial strategy, sustainability and the use of education to support real-world change.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Before joining Arts University Plymouth, Chynna led commercial strategy at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, developing its digital education portfolio, network model and commercial partnerships.</p>
<p dir="ltr">She began her career in PR and communications before moving into the learning technology sector, where she supported major brands through global transformation programmes.</p>
<p dir="ltr">Chynna holds a First Class BA (Hons) in Fashion Communication and Promotion from Nottingham Trent University, a Level 5 CMI Diploma in Organisational Leadership awarded with Distinction, and a Business Sustainability Management certificate from the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.</p>
<p dir="ltr">In 2022, she was named in the Learning Technologies 30 Under 30 cohort.<br /></p>
