Get to know Plymouth
Plymouth, Britain’s Ocean City, is home to around 35,000 students. Alongside our vibrant culture, Plymouth offers a huge variety of inspiring and creative events, contemporary arts venues and a wealth of independent and nationally recognised bars, restaurants and shops located within walking distance of Arts University Plymouth’s Tavistock Place campus.
Perfectly situated on the south west coast of the UK, Plymouth borders Devon and Cornwall, offering a stunning and vast coastline all easily accessible by foot, bus, car or train, as well as being within a 25 minute bus journey from the city centre to Dartmoor National Park; there’s many reasons to consider Plymouth a place to call home throughout your studies.

Visiting in-person
The best way to experience our vibrant city is to visit us in-person. If you have applied to study with us you will have received information about how to book on to an Applicant Experience Day.
This is a great opportunity for you to get to know Plymouth and experience what it’s like to study and be part of our welcoming creative community. You will get to participate in a course specific workshop with our expert academics and technicians and meet other students on your course before you start in September. There will also be the opportunity to have a campus tour of our industry-standard facilities and talk to our teams about accommodation, finance, student support, careers and any other questions you may want answered.
If you can’t make an Applicant Experience Day, you can book a bespoke campus tour and 1:1 chat with a course leader at a time that suits you. Just email hello@aup.ac.uk.
