At Arts University Plymouth, Host are our recommended accommodation partners. They provide a variety of housing options for our students, with properties ideally located around the campus and surrounding area, so you’ll only ever have a short walk to get to university – great if you have an early start.
Whilst Host are our recommended accommodation partner, we are also happy to recommend Cross House as an alternative, approved provider.
Cross House is owned by Homes for Students and has options to suit all budgets, from Classic Ensuites to Studios of varying prices and with wifi, a games room, laundry room, an outdoor area and bicycle storage all included. Cross House is located a short 10 minute walk from campus, conveniently situated in the middle of the city centre. As of May 2023, Cross House has a limited number of en-suites still available at £139 per week, and studios available ranging from £175 - £204 per week. All rooms include wifi, access to a games room, laundry room, an outdoor area, bicycle storage and they’re only a 10 minute walk away from campus!
Saltwater Place is another student accommodation provider we can recommend, located near Plymouth Hoe and has en-suite rooms available between £128 - £130 per week and accessible studios available at £175 per week. All rooms include wifi, access to a games room, laundry room and bicycle storage as well as a communal lounge and study area, and they’re only a 15 minute walk away from campus.
We also recommend Capitol Students for a range of student accommodation at a number of locations in central Plymouth. Classic en-suite rooms with access to a shared kitchen and living space priced between £117 - £130 per week, and a range of studio options ranging between £174 - £200 per week are still available. All options include cycle storage, wifi, bills and contents insurance!
Beckley Point is another fantastically central location, just a couple of minutes walk from our main campus and with a range of studio flats, ensuite rooms, and even two bed flats available, as well as a sky lounge and common room, as well as cinema and gaming rooms.
Want to look at other accommodation options across the city? Take a look at the Accommodation for Students website, which lists a range of house shares, studio flats, and more from private landlords and agents around Plymouth.

Most students in their first year choose to live in a Student Hall of Residence. These provide a fun and safe introduction to independent living: all halls rooms offer ensuite bathrooms, and have bright and airy communal areas, with cooking, dining and social facilities.
Rooms are fully furnished to a modern standard, and you can usually stay for up to 43 weeks of the year. You will share your flat with other Arts University Plymouth students, and to top it off you also have a 24/7 concierge at some properties, along with flat-screen televisions in the lounge and even a free play pool table.

Student houses are a great way to jump straight into the student lifestyle. Often a mix of first, second and third-year students, they offer a great place to call home while you study.
As an extra plus, these rooms are often bigger than in halls, but also cheaper. If you’re keen on making your student loan go further, there’s a wide range of shared houses of different styles and sizes on offer. Student Accommodation UK Search is a great place to start looking.
