Lucy Claire Walker on helping to shape ‘Ebb and Flow’, Plymouth’s new remembrance sculpture
Second-year BA (Hons) Fine Art student Lucy Claire Walker has helped develop a new public artwork for Plymouth, created with Babcock International Group, Plymouth City Council and children’s charity Never Such Innocence.
The sculpture, titled Ebb and Flow, honours service families and the city’s enduring connection with the armed forces. The winning concept was designed by BA (Hons) Craft & Material Practices student David Beasley and chosen by participating schools before being engineered with Babcock at their Devonport facility.
