Painting, Drawing & Printmaking Studio Host Drawing Festival
Students from across the College took part in a drawing festival hosted in the Painting, Drawing & Printmaking studio last week. The event celebrated the beginning of the three month Drawing Season at Plymouth College of Art, which opened last week with The Violet Club - a show by Painting, Drawing & Printmaking course leader Stephen Felmingham.
Over a hundred students from Foundation, Illustration, Costume and Fine Art, amongst others, attended the festival over two days. Students worked with a variety of drawing strategies with actor and performer disabledkev, and students from Costume brought props and clothes for a model drawing session on the second day.
The festival aimed to raise the profile of drawing at the college as a fundamental activity that could be shared across the subject disciplines.
