Stephen Felmingham gives talk in Geneva Architecture School

Stephen Felmingham flew out to Geneva in September to speak at the prestigious École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), after being invited to give a lecture on drawing to the Architecture School during the Saul Steinberg exhibition currently showing in their gallery.
<p>Stephen Felmingham, Programme Leader for our BA (Hons) Painting, Drawing and Printmaking degree, flew out to Geneva in September to speak at the prestigious École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne <a href="http://www.epfl.ch/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">(EPFL)</a>.<br /></p>

<p>Hosted at the Architecture School, Stephen was invited to give a lecture on drawing as part of the exhibition 'Architecture by Line, Saul Steinberg' currently showing in their gallery.</p> <p>The talk discussed the innate human ability to draw and its roots in human development as one of the first tools of communication and story telling.</p> <p>"Drawing looks at a different kind of thinking and a different kind of knowledge which is much more about potential," says Stephen.</p> <p>"The idea of the 'thinking hand' in drawing sees the hand as an equal to the eyes in unleashing the artists' thought in action.
