Students celebrate success at SDC 2017 International Design Competition

Third-year students on our BA (Hons) Printed Textile Design & Surface Pattern programme had great successes last month at the regional final for Society of Dyers and Colourists 2017 International Design Competition.

<p>First launched in 2002, the <a href="https://sdc.org.uk/">SDC International Design Competition</a> is the SDC’s annual flagship competition, open to students in 14 countries.</p> <p>The competition is free to enter and attracts hundreds of entries worldwide; previous winners have gone on to major success in the fashion and textile industry.</p> <p><br /></p>

<p>This year’s theme was "Design for a Circular Economy" with our students attending the South of England and Wales finals at South Gloucestershire &amp; Stroud College.</p> <p>Out of the five prizes awarded on the day, judged by a panel of industry experts, three went to our BA (Hons) Printed Textile Design &amp; Surface Pattern third year students.</p>
