A tutor enthusiastically addresses a group of Young Arts students

National Saturday Club | 14-16yrs

Plymouth College of Art’s Young Arts programme was established in 1988. Young Arts also offers local participants the chance to join one of the National Saturday Clubs, and be part of a UK-wide initiative with 75 clubs taking place across the country. National Saturday Clubs provide members with an array of transferable skills that are greatly sought after by employers in the UK’s thriving creative sector and beyond.

This year we are really pleased to be adding the Fashion & Business pathway to our offer, so whether you are interested in a career in Fashion or Art & Design, we can help you start your journey. You will study a range of art, craft, design and media disciplines, or fashion, textiles and marketing, and you will develop your skills further by designing and making items for sale, or teaching an art skill to younger child or friend. Students will be rewarded with a Summer Show exhibition in London, a masterclass with a UK designer or artist, and to become part of this exciting national initiative

Applications are now open for 2022/23, and both clubs will begin in November 2022 and run for 15 Saturdays during term time.

Sessions will be mostly in our studios at Palace Court with a few sessions online, and on location.
