Anil Majithia
Chair of Audit & Risk Committee
<p>Anil Majithia is a highly experienced Chair, Non‑Executive Director and Trustee, with extensive board‑level expertise in effective governance, strategy, risk, finance, audit and organisational transformation. He has a strong track record of chairing boards and a wide range of committees, including Audit & Risk, and brings a practical, strategic and values‑led approach to governance.</p>
<p>Alongside his role as Governor and Chair of the Audit & Risk Committee at Arts University Plymouth, Anil holds a portfolio of senior board positions across the education and public sectors. He is Vice Chair and Chair of the Audit Committee at North Warwickshire and South Leicestershire College, and Governor and Chair of Audit & Risk at the University of Wolverhampton.</p>
<p>Anil retired in 2017 from his executive career as Global Delivery Executive at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, where he led major technology and business transformation programmes across multiple global industry sectors. He has significant experience in health and public service governance, having most recently served as Non‑Executive Member for Health Inequalities & Communities at the Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland Integrated Care Board. His previous roles include Non‑Executive Director at George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and Chair of the George Eliot Hospital Charity.</p>
<p>Anil has also held a wide range of leadership roles across education, place and the voluntary sector, including Chair of a Multi‑Academy Trust, Chair of the Canal & River Trust East Midlands Regional Advisory Board, Co‑Chair of the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership, Chair of Voluntary Action Leicestershire, and Governor at the Universities of Coventry and Leicester. He has served as a trustee for several not‑for‑profit organisations and brings deep experience of partnership working, accountability and public value.</p>
