<p>As a Technical Resource Manager Kathryn line manages and works alongside the technical team within the Fabric Lab. She oversees the distribution and access to cross-university technical resources including specialist staff skill sets, ensuring that students are able to access professional equipment and advice from our established technical team. Her role also involves coordinating the Textiles Print workshop and delivering textiles technique and process workshops to all of the student community. </p> <p>Prior to this role, Kathryn worked as Textiles Print Technician managing a print room at an FE College in Yorkshire for ten years. She provided support and delivered technical workshops to a variety of learners from Level 2 up to HE which included print, knit, weave, felt and embroidery.</p> <p>Before moving to Cornwall, Kathryn concentrated on community workshops, gallery and curatorial work, working on short projects which included The Royal Photography Society and a project working alongside Dennis Northdruft and his team from the Fashion and Textiles Museum.</p> <p>She is passionate about print, pattern and fabric and has a small home studio which allows her to produce samples.</p> <p>Technical areas taught including all aspects of screen printing, from pigments and foils to Devoré and fabric dying, sublimation printing, repeat printing and some sewing techniques.</p>
