Lauren Taverner Brown

<p dir="ltr">As Head of Communications and Marketing at Arts University Plymouth, Lauren leads on strategic communications, PR and marketing to deliver data-driven campaigns that support student recruitment, institutional visibility, brand development and alumni engagement. Since joining in 2017, she has contributed to major initiatives, including the successful rebrand from Plymouth College of Art to Arts University Plymouth in 2022, helping to strengthen the university’s national profile.</p> <p dir="ltr">Lauren brings over 15 years of experience in marketing and communications, with a career spanning fashion, lifestyle and cultural sectors. Earlier in her career, she was Editor of <em>247 Magazine</em>, the South West’s leading music and lifestyle magazine, where she oversaw content, design and audience engagement. </p> <p dir="ltr">Lauren has also held senior roles in London PR agencies and continues to contribute to community-based creative initiatives in the South West. She combines creative storytelling with a results-driven approach, ensuring campaigns achieve measurable impact while celebrating the vibrancy of the university community. Lauren joined the Board of Governors in 2025 as a member of the People &amp; Culture Committee Committee.<br /></p>
