Sarah Smalldon
Sarah Smalldon Graduated from Plymouth College of Art in 2011 with a BA (Hons) Fine Art and received the Ben Hartley Fine Art Award in the same year. Sarah now divides her time between supporting students at the college and her studio at home.
Drawings of houses, buildings and intricate line drawings are Sarah’s area of expertise. She works in a variety of media including watercolour, pen, pencil and acrylic. She also carves lino, paints large abstract canvases and creates wall murals.
“I have recently been getting commissioned to illustrate buildings and people’s homes for them. I enjoy drawing historical places in and around Plymouth and when I took a tour of the New Palace Theatre on union street I became really inspired!”
Sarah found out that Go Palace Theatre are fundraising towards renovating the Palace Theatre on Union Street and became keen to support. During The Plymouth Art Weekender in summer 2015 Sarah though up creative ways to contribute and raise money for the Go Palace Theatre funds. She sold a number of signed limited edition prints on pledges of £20+. Recently Sarah has been designing festive Palace Theatre Christmas cards too.
