Our People

Susan Hill

Susan Hill completed a HND Graphic Design at Plymouth College of Art in 1987. Since then Susan has worked for a number of companies and built up a prestigious career specialising in marketing.

After studying at College, Susan worked for 5 years in London for a small advertising agency. Afterwards she moved to Yorkshire to take up a position of Senior Designer for Grattan and Next Catalogues. “After two years working there I realised I was much better at briefing other designers than producing work myself”.

Susan decided that she would work as a Marketing Assistant rather than a Designer because she enjoyed a varied role, liaising with creatives and moving projects forward.

“I saw a job ad for a Marketing Assistant realised that sounded more like me. I got the job and from then onwards I have worked in marketing. I worked my way up to Marketing Director and am now a Marketing Consultant for clients including Weststar Holidays, The Eden Project, People Tree Fair Trade Fashion and Victor Chandler Int."

Susan has worked all over the world for a variety of clients. However she has always maintained a base in the South West and feels most at home there.

“I am delighted to be working in the arts and on the College's doorstep at the moment”.

Currently Susan is keeping busy as is a Marketing Consultant for a range of local businesses including the Theatre Royal, which is the largest regional producing theatre in the UK.
