<p>This performance lecture examines abjection, ritual, and object agency through a feminist psychoanalytic lens, drawing on theories of Kristeva, Freud, Douglas, and Ricoeur. Delivered as a live, text-based and material performance, the work enacts rituals of gathering, wrapping, and binding using found fabrics, hair, rocks, and mirrors—materials charged with loss, care, and transformation. The gestures form an embodied methodology of mourning and repair, asking how minor, intuitive actions might serve as speculative resistance in times of uncertainty. Developed in dialogue with artist and researcher Judith Noble, whose work explores deep time, animism, and elemental cycles, the lecture forms part of a broader enquiry into ecologies of feeling, material memory, and the space “between worlds.” It contributes to a developing research cycle that foregrounds fragility and enchantment as critical tools for contemporary art practice.</p>
