Jenny Evans
Senior Lecturer & Course Leader BA (Hons) Content Creation
<p>Jenny Evans is a creative marketing specialist and award-winning entrepreneur, bringing current industry practice into the classroom to help students develop the creative, technical and strategic skills needed to thrive in the evolving creator economy.</p>
<p>Jenny has over a decade of experience as an entrepreneur and artist. While studying at Cardiff Metropolitan University, she won Santander's University Entrepreneur's national competition, securing a £25,000 grand prize. After graduating with First Class Honours, she established an investor-backed business, raising a £350,000 seed round and leading a team of ten across two UK offices, designing and manufacturing luxury homeware and fashion accessories sold internationally.</p>
<p>Alongside running her business, Jenny served as UK Policy Chair for Young Entrepreneurs at the Federation of Small Businesses, influencing national policy to improve support for young entrepreneurs. She later mentored hundreds of founders through Outset and has held marketing roles including Digital Content and Social Media Officer at Arts University Plymouth.</p>
<p>Throughout her career, Jenny has specialised in organic digital growth, generating millions of views through the content she has created, as well as developing content strategies that have delivered significant commercial impact for creative businesses.</p>
<p>Alongside her teaching, Jenny is studying on our MA by Research, exploring digital community-building through creative collecting, examining how content creation can foster shared knowledge, cultural memory and new forms of value online. She also serves as a Trustee for Plymouth Culture, contributing to the strategic direction of the city's creative and cultural sector.</p>
<p>Jenny is passionate about helping the next generation of creators, entrepreneurs and marketers build meaningful, sustainable creative careers, combining industry expertise, research and innovative teaching to prepare students for the future of the creative industries.</p>
<p>Jenny is Course Leader for BA (Hons) Content Creation at Arts University Plymouth, and played a key role in the development and launch of the university's newest undergraduate degree in partnership with The Influencer Academy.</p>
<p>Alongside leading our BA (Hons) Content Creation course, Jenny teaches on BA (Hons) Textile Design, bringing an interdisciplinary perspective that combines creative practice, marketing strategy and industry collaboration.<br /></p>
