Illustrating Mental Health

Last updated June 2026

With a focus to illustrate and publish a self authored picturebook that challenges current sales driven tropes within the Western book market, this presentation draws on personal lived experience in translating the after effects of trauma, through a sketchbook, into a picturebook. Using my own small press An-ti-dote Press to publish the final illustrated story. Offering an imagined safe place to escape to, where a child can tackle increasingly common and acute mental health issues.
